What better way to pass a rainy day ( and we've been having a lot of those lately!) than picking up a good book from the library? Just received a bunch of new books so stop in and check out the Greenfield Library!
Plans are in place for the library's summer reading program "Dig Into Reading". The Library is partnering with the local Iowa State University Extension office for a fun-packed time! Dig into books and learn something new each day as you explore archaeology, dinosaurs, gardening and more. Be ready to get your hands dirty as you dig for artifacts, make crafts, build and plant. All of this takes place on Monday, June 10th-Thursday, June 13th--9:00 a.m.--11:30 a.m. Sign up is required--Just drop in to the Extension office on the Greenfield square

The last program of the spring series was Antique Evlauation with Patsy Ahnen. Attendance was good and everyone brought 1 or 2 items to be evaluated. We all learn so much about things that we collect or are family heirlooms.
The local 4-H club members work with youth in the community through "Clover Kids". This was a rainy day today so there was a great turn out. 35 kids had a great time at the library playing games and reading books.
